[JURIST] In an agreement with prosecutors, Sgt. Javal Davis, 27, pleaded guilty Tuesday as anticipated [JURIST report] to dereliction of duty, battery and making a false official statement to Army investigators in connection with maltreatment of detainees at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. The guilty pleas were entered after Col. James Pohl, the military judge, rejected efforts by Davis' lawyer to get all of the charges dismissed. Davis was scheduled to go to trial tomorrow.
