Cobb County, Georgia, District Attorney Joyette Holmes announced Wednesday that a grand jury has indicted all three suspects in the murder of Ahmaud Arbery.
The suspects, George McMichael, Travis McMichael and William Bryan, are indicted on nine counts related to the death of Arbery. The counts range from felony murder to false imprisonment.
In announcing the grand jury decision, Holmes stated, “This is another step forward in seeking justice for Ahmaud. Our team from the Cobb Judicial Circuit has been committed to effectively bringing forward the evidence in this case and today was no exception.”
The case was presented to a grand jury in Glynn County pursuant to the statewide judicial emergency order that allowed grand juries to convene despite COVID-19 concerns.
