Trump signs bipartisan COVID-19 relief package

US President Donald Trump signed into law the COVID-19 bipartisan relief package on Wednesday. The Families First Coronavirus Response Act provides sick leave and expanded safety net spending. Another key feature of the bill is providing free testing for COVID-19.

The Act provides paid sick leave for any employees asked to self-quarantine, diagnosed with COVID-19, or required to care for children whose school has been closed and has no other childcare provider. They will be entitled to 80 hours of sick leave or two weeks.

Testing for COVID-19 will be provided for free with no payment or co-pays demanded of the person being tested. This will be grandfathered in for persons who have been already tested.
