In Oregon a ban on taxes on groceries was defeated, and a legislative requirement of three-fifths majority for revenue increases was also defeated.
In Washington a ballot measure to prohibit the state government from enacting taxes on groceries passed.
In Arizona an initiative to prohibit new taxes or increased tax rates on services passed.
In California an initiative to repeal the 2017 fuel tax and require public votes on future increases was defeated.
In Florida a constitutional amendment that requires two-thirds of the legislature to vote for tax increases passed, but a push to exempt more home value from property taxes failed.
Finally, in North Carolina voters choose to reduce the maximum income tax from 10 percent to 7 percent.
