Khadr, the eldest son of suspected al Qaeda senior member Ahmed Said Khadr [Wikipedia profile] and the brother of Guantanamo detainee Omar Khadr [JURIST news archive], faces a possible life sentence plus thirty years and a $1,000,000 fine.
US Attorney for the District of Massachusetts [official website] Michael Sullivan [official profile] said he plans to “aggressively” pursue extraditing Khadr from Canada, where he is being held on a US warrant. He was arrested by the RCMP [CBC report] in December after returning from Pakistan, where he had been jailed.
