Following an earlier court decision, Belgiam authorities on Wednesday completed the extradition of a terror suspect to France. Salah Abdeslam who is thought to be the criminal mastermind of the Paris terror attacks last year was extradited [France24 report] into French custody. Abdeslam is still facing charges in Belgium in connection with a terror attack in Brussels earlier this year. The transfer will allow the French authorities to complete their investigation of the attacks in Paris and begin judicial proceedings against the terror suspects.

Following a court decision in Brussels in April, Belgian authorities agreed [JURIST report] to extradite Abdeslam to France.
