News[JURIST] At least two Iraqi lawmakers were killed Thursday after a bomb exploded in the cafeteria of the Iraq parliament building. Saleh al-Mutlaq, head of the Sunni National Dialogue Front [Wikipedia profile], said that party member Mohammed Awad died in the attack. Security officials have said that a second lawmaker was also killed and that at least one other lawmaker and several others were wounded in the bombing.
The bombing came despite increased security at the parliament building. Security officials had been using bomb-sniffing dogs Thursday morning when screening people entering the building. AP has more.
