Fifth Circuit returning to New Orleans in January Andrew Wood at 12:03 PM ET [JURIST] The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit [official website] announced Friday that it will return to its New Orleans headquarters in January. Following Hurricane Katrina [JURIST news archive] in September, the appeals court temporarily moved [JURIST report] to Houston, Texas and has operated from the Bob Casey United States Courthouse. The court will shut down Houston operations around December 16, 2005 and reconvene in New Orleans on January 9, 2006. Read the US Court press release on the move. Link |
