Van Gogh killer sentenced to life David Shucosky at 9:47 AM ET [JURIST] Muslim extremist Mohammed Bouyeri [Wikipedia profile], who confessed to the November 2004 murder [JURIST report] of Dutch filmmaker Theo Van Gogh [Wikipedia profile], was sentenced to life in prison, the harshest possible sentence, on Tuesday in Amsterdam. Bouyeri said he killed Van Gough in response to his film, "Submission" [synopsis and film clip], which criticized the treatment of women under Islam.
