Gilbert Degrave, the driver whose truck ignited the deadly March 1999 fire that killed 39 people, received a four month suspended jail term. The court dismissed the charges against Sweden's Volvo Group [corporate website], which made the vehicle involved, finding no evidence of a design flaws in the lorry.
