Britain to extradite 1995 Paris bomb suspect Tom Henry at 10:51 AM ET [JURIST] The British government announced Wednesday that it has agreed to extradite Algerian Rachid Ramda [advocacy profile], held on a French arrest warrant for the past eight years in connection with a Paris bomb attack in 1995 that took the lives of eight people. UK Home Secretary Charles Clarke [official profile] agreed to the extradition in April but the decision was withheld from the public until now. Ramda is expected to seek judicial review of the decision before London's High Court prior to extradition. Reuters has more. Link |
