The Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee [official website] will hold a business meeting at 6 PM ET to consider the nomination of Michael Chertoff as Secretary of Homeland Security. Senegal [government website in French] will hold presidential elections today.

At the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, the Naser Oric [ICTY case backgrounder] trial continues today, with a webcast beginning at 9:30 AM local time [3:30 AM ET].
