BREAKING NEWS ~ Lawyer convicted of helping terrorist client communicate with followers

[JURIST] AP is reporting that civil rights lawyer Lynne Stewart [defense website] has been convicted of helping imprisoned Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman communicate with his terrorist followers.

3:45 PM ET - After 13 days of deliberation, a jury has convicted Stewart on charges of conspiracy, giving material support to terrorists and defrauding the US government for smuggling messages of violence from the radical Egyptian sheik to his disciples. Abdel-Rahman is currently serving a life sentence for conspiring to assassinate the Egyptian president and to destroy several New York landmarks. AP now has more.
