Jury selection concludes in former WorldCom CEO Ebbers' trial Chris Buell at 3:25 PM ET [JURIST] Jury selection in the trial of former WorldCom CEO Bernard Ebbers was completed Tuesday, and opening statements began this afternoon. Ebbers faces charges of fraud, conspiracy and filing false regulatory reports in the $11 billion fraud scandal that forced WorldCom, now MCI [official website], into bankruptcy. Ebbers, who pleaded not guilty, is expected to argue that he left accounting decisions to former CFO Andrew Sullivan, who agreed to a plea bargain with prosecutors and is expected to testify against Ebbers.
