PROJECTION ~ Bush takes AL, OK, TN; Kerry takes DE, CT, DC, IL, MA, ME, MD. NJ Bernard Hibbitts at 8:03 PM ET [JURIST Election Special] 8:02 PM ET - AP is projecting Bush wins in Alabama, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. AP is projecting Kerry wins in Delaware, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, and New Jersey. These projections swing the electoral college vote to Kerry for the first time tonight, 77 to 66. CNN figures indicate that the popular vote so far is still solidly with the President, however, 2,223,567 to 1,646,586. Link |
