[JURIST] A preliminary hearing was held Wednesday for UK Trooper Kevin Lee Williams, who is charged with the murder of Hassan Sayyed in Ad-Dayr in south eastern Iraq in August 2003. Williams is expected to stand trial for the alleged killing at Old Bailey this spring. The charges were brought by UK Attorney General Lord Goldsmith after the commander of Williams' unit dropped charges against him, meaning he will be tried in a civilian court.
