Sharon rejects referendum on settlements withdrawal Alexandria Samuel at 7:33 PM ET Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon Sunday rejected a call for a national referendum on his plan to withdraw outposts from the Gaza Strip after a meeting with Jewish settlers.
