US law and business press ~ Rudman counseling Fannie Mae, Internet movie downloads suit, Pledge Protection Act

In Thursday's US law and business press, the Washington Business Journal reports that mortgage lender Fannie Mae has named former Senator Warren Rudman independent counsel to the committee it has named to work with accounting method regulators.... Los Angeles Business reports that the Motion Picture Association of America has sued Click Enterprises for selling Internet movie downloads without permission.... FindLaw's Writ has Cardozo law professor Marci Hamilton's column on the Pledge Protection Act, which would deprive all federal courts of jurisdiction to hear constitutional challenges to the "under God" Pledge of Allegiance.
