US Supreme Court rulings

[JURIST] Breaking news from DC Supreme Court litigators Goldstein & Howe [SCOTUSBlog post] - the US Supreme Court issued two decisions shortly after 10 AM ET this morning [links to Opinions courtesy Cornell's Legal Information Institute]:

In Woodford v. Garceau, No. 01-1862, the Court reversed. Justice Thomas wrote the opinion, which was joined by the Chief, and Justices Stevens, Scalia, and Kennedy. Justice O'Connor concurred in the judgment. Justice Souter dissented, joined by Justices Ginsburg and Breyer. In City of Cuyahoga Falls v. Buckeye Community Hope, No. 01-1269, the Court reversed in part and remanded. Justice O'Connor wrote for a unanimous court. Justice Scalia wrote a concurring opinion joined by Justice Thomas.
