Your say
Bernard Hibbitts on February 17, 2003 2:30 PM ET

[JURIST] In the wake of JURIST's weekend facelift, a North Dakota reader writes: "It is always a little jarring to open the 'paper' and find the columns all messed up. But, after a few days I get used to it. I think you do a GREAT job of constantly improving both the content and format of the Jurist. I am a daily reader." Thanks for the kind words, and your patience! As we dig out from under over a foot of snow here in Pittsburgh and brace for the resumption of law school classes and regular Paper Chase service tomorrow, we continue to welcome your feedback on JURIST's new look, pro or con, at JURIST@law.pitt.edu.

Presidents' Day
Bernard Hibbitts on February 17, 2003 10:27 AM ET

Read about the odd legal history of Presidents' Day, which is still designated as "Washington's Birthday" in 5 US Code 6103(a), the law that specifies holidays for federal employees. Learn more about the Presidents - 25 of whom have been lawyers - from the White House.
